We often wear masks in life – the mask of knowing it all, mask of being loving and caring, mask of appearing strong… Then come layers of energetic pretenses that protect us from the judgment of others: fitting in within the established norms personally, relationally, socially…
What happens to us when we’re not fully aligned with who we are inside? Energetically, we create a strong exterior of multiple walls, boundaries and configurations that take quite a bit of energy to uphold and maintain. Underneath it all, we feel intense feelings of separation, pain, doubt, loss of self-esteem and misalignment.
I have been there multiple times – trying to fit into a definition, idea, projection of who I was not. Having gone through intense personal growth spirt I’ve realized that the best I could do is just be myself. It feels so freeing, aligned and true.
Authentic alignment is an on-going process of constantly checking in with yourself and choosing to be who you are at any given point in time. Aligned with your beliefs, values, goals and intentions. The process is not perfect, it gets confusing and messy at times. You need to be brave to go against other people’s opinions, openly speak and align with your truth even if it’s not shared by many. The benefits of being you fully are tremendous.
