Just recently, I went to a meeting with Eckhart Tolle. He spoke about how in exchange for thoughts and mental concepts, human kind lost an ability to just be. There’s a difference in “doing or thinking” and “being” – both states are needed to function and achieve balance. The latter gives us a sense of calm, support and connection.
